Data Center Water Filters for Operators and Facility Teams

Replacement cartridges for cooling tower side-stream, makeup water and RO systems, ordered by part number and by the case.

Short answer

Data center facility teams can reorder cooling tower side-stream, makeup water and RO cartridges from FilterBridge Supply by part number and by the case. Send the part number on your current cartridge for a quote within one business day.

The problem

In-house teams handle daily rounds and filter changes. Spares need to be on the shelf, part numbers differ from site to site, and reorders shouldn't mean re-sourcing.

What we supply

  • Pleated jumbo high-flow cartridges (HSC series) and high-flow cartridges for side-stream systems.
  • Standard 10" and 20" cartridges in 2.5" and 4.5" diameters for makeup water prefiltration, polishing and RO pretreatment.
  • Housings for standard and Big Blue–style cartridges.
  • Filter bags are available on request.
  • RO membranes and pretreatment cartridges.

HSC series pleated jumbo cartridges

The HSC-170 is 7 3/4" × 30 3/4" with 170 sq ft of media, 105 gpm recommended and 150 gpm max. Standard pleated polyester versions come in 0.35, 1, 5, 10, 20, 50, 100 and 150 micron (140°F max); all-polypropylene versions are absolute rated at 0.2, 0.35, 0.45 and 1 micron (176°F max).

Questions and answers

Who buys filter cartridges at a data center?

It varies by site. At many data centers, an in-house facility team handles routine rounds and filter changes and buys consumables directly. At others, a facility maintenance or water treatment contractor does that work and orders the parts.

Can I reorder by the part number on my current cartridge?

Yes. Send the part number, size and micron. We quote matching cartridges by the case within one business day.

What filters does a data center cooling tower use?

Side-stream systems commonly use cartridges of about 5–50 µm or bags of about 5–75 µm (Fil-Trek), treating about 3–10% of the circulating flow (DOE FEMP).

Can you standardize part numbers across our sites?

Send the part list from each site. We'll show where one cartridge can cover several, based on published size and micron, and quote case quantities.

At what differential pressure should I change a cartridge?

At the limit set by the housing or cartridge maker or your water treatment program. Log inlet and outlet pressure each round so you change on ΔP, not the calendar.

What filter spares should a data center keep on site?

Keep at least one full change-out of each cartridge and bag used on the cooling tower side-stream, makeup water and RO pretreatment, plus seals. We quote case quantities by part number so spares match what's installed. See Download the filter PM and spares checklist (PDF).
