The problem
Retrofits and recurring media changes span many housing brands and sizes. Finding replacement media fast, without re-sourcing every job, is where time goes.
What we supply
- Pleated jumbo high-flow cartridges (HSC series) and high-flow cartridges.
- Standard 10" and 20" cartridges in 2.5" and 4.5" diameters for makeup water prefiltration, polishing and RO pretreatment.
- Housings for standard and Big Blue–style cartridges.
- Filter bags are available on request.
HSC series pleated jumbo cartridges
The HSC-170 is 7 3/4" × 30 3/4" with 170 sq ft of media, 105 gpm recommended and 150 gpm max. Standard pleated polyester versions come in 0.35, 1, 5, 10, 20, 50, 100 and 150 micron (140°F max); all-polypropylene versions are absolute rated at 0.2, 0.35, 0.45 and 1 micron (176°F max). Cooling tower filtration is among the applications the manufacturer lists.

How do you size a side stream filter for a cooling tower?
DOE FEMP puts side-stream filtration at about 3–10% of circulating flow (up to about 20% at dusty sites), sized from TSS and particle-size tests.
Bag or cartridge for a cooling tower side stream?
Published ranges are cartridges about 5–50 µm and bags about 5–75 µm (Fil-Trek). We lead with cartridges; bags are available on request.
Can you supply replacement media for a side-stream filter I service?
Send the housing make and model and the current cartridge spec. We'll quote matching media or tell you we can't.
Do you sell side-stream filter skids?
No. We supply cartridges and standard housings.
What parts do I need to retrofit a cartridge side-stream filter?
Typically a housing sized for the side-stream flow, high-flow or standard cartridges in the target micron, pressure gauges for ΔP and isolation valves. Send the flow and connection size and we'll quote housings and cartridges.
