About this cartridge type
Carbon block cartridges are bonded activated carbon formed into a solid tube, used to reduce chlorine taste and odor while also trapping fine particles. The CB series uses coconut shell carbon with polypropylene end caps and a neoprene gasket, rated 40–180 °F. Before you switch, compare the published outside diameters, the end gasket style your housing uses, and the chlorine capacity at your flow rate.
