About this cartridge type
Depth cartridges trap particles through the full thickness of the wall instead of on the surface. The SDC series uses four layers of graded-density polypropylene with outside-in flow, so the outer layers take the larger particles and the inner layers handle the finer ones. They are a common pre-filter for carbon, DI and RO stages. Before you switch, compare the end style your housing uses, check the flow per cartridge against the published pressure-drop figures, and tell us any certification your specification calls for.
