About this cartridge type
The SWX series is a 100% polypropylene string-wound cartridge, free of surfactants, detergents and anti-static agents, rated 40–165 °F and suitable for municipal and well water per its data sheet. On a 40-inch cartridge the outside diameter, core ID and end seal matter as much as the micron rating. Before you switch, confirm your vessel takes a 2.5-inch-nominal cartridge and compare the end seal, then tell us any certification your specification calls for.
